Make the most out of your mornings by doing this.
If you feel like you are a slow starter in the mornings and it takes you awhile to actually be awake and functioning, you probably aren’t being as productive as you are capable of. If you want to make the most of mornings, don’t allow yourself to be overloaded in the mornings and don’t allow yourself to stay in a sleepy state. Use these five tactics.
1. Move your alarm clock across the room
This is the easiest way to get your body up and moving immediately. It eliminates the choice to just keep lying in the bed. You are already forced to stand up and walk over to it.
2. Write out your morning goals the night before
When you write it down the night before when you are awake, you won’t have to think too hard about what you need to do or have to remember what is needed to do for the day.
3. Set out your clothes the night before
Leave out your clothes in a place where you can find them and you won’t have to waste time deciding on what to wear.
4. Make your first task super easy
Allow your brain to ease into the day by giving it some awakening exercises. Don’t test it out too hard this early in the morning.
5. Drink water first
You get very dehydrated at night, and although it is tempting to drink coffee, you make a more positive choice by drinking water first. You rehydrate and recharge the brain.
